How do I create a new Account in the Chart of Accounts?

Adding a new account to the chart of accounts is a simple procedure you initiate by choosing View - Accounting and then clicking Chart of Accounts.

An overview of creating new account:


1. Choose View, Point to Accounting and click Chart of Accounts. 

2. Click the New button to create a new account. 

3. Enter in the desired account number and click OK.

4. Write in the desired name of the account and confirm any relevant settings.

5. Close the window when you are finished and answer Yes to save.
